Re: GTB Build
It is now a duelly. UPDATE I just noticed the remanence of the micro wave I shot with the M1 Garand after placing tannerite inside. I did not notice it had traveled that far. Listen kids. When performing dangerous stunts like this, make sure you hid behind a shield.....

Another angle. I have to finish my Acura MDKA automatic transmission build. After that, I will be jumping all over the GPW and the GTB.

Build the steering gear box. I will put new pictures up when I finish this thing. Ran into a snag with the output shaft seal.

Re: GTB Build
I guess editing and spelling were not a big priority back in 1941/42. You can see that there never was an A at the end of Indiana. That little spot is dried paint that chipped.

Re: GTB Build
Installed the rear seal for the transmission. Want to post the NAPA p/n so that you can use it or for cross reference purposes.

Re: GTB Build
Finished building the steering column. The horn wiring goes through the bottom of the gearbox. The bottom plate has a tube running through it to the hollow steering shaft. The tube was deteriorated beyond repair. I used steel tubing to replace it by drilling out the old tubing and brazing in the new. I will try and remember to post a picture of the extra one I have to show how this is configured. The seal in the picture is the NAPA number for the output shaft of the gear box.

I have been following your thread for some time now 1943WillysGPW and I must say that your work is well done! I never knew the about the center frame rail. But looking at it, I understand now how the engine is mounted. Nice!!
