Hi T CORBIN,
Sorry, for what I am looking at repop data plates will not be of much use.
You guys can correct me, I understand that the GTB series was made in 3 locations - Edgewater NJ., Dearborn Mi., and Louisville Ky. Through my GPW studies I have learned, I believe, the style and font of the stamps used at the Dearborn and Louisville assembly plants. I do not know for sure what the Edgewater plant did/use for stamps since they only made 1338 GPWs.
My theory is that an assembly plant used the same stamps no matter which vehicle they were building. This has showed up at the Dearborn plant where the same stamps and style of stamping in found on the GPWs and GPAs that were made at Dearborn.

Tom,
Where do I find the frame stampings on a GTB? I have two starting restoration but have not looked for a frame stamping. I know of one other in my area under restoration that I could get photos of.

Try this guy. I have never used him myself, but it looks like he can fix/ reproduce most anything if you have an original for him to use as a template.

Re: Attention GTB Series Owners
The GTB frame Vin# can also be found as far forward as just in front of the right engine mount.
It is also sometimes, but not always, stamped on the engine block, just in front of the temp sending unit port on the Drivers side (left side) of the block.
Bob Brown has excellent Repro data plates. You can reach him at burmafor@iserv.net. $60.00 a set

Re: Attention GTB Series Owners
Just as a FYI......
GTB motors did not have a motor number stamped on them.
Replacement motors may have a number stamped on the side but motors used in production do not.
The motor number of a Ford is the VIN number of the vehicle. Since motors could be and were, rebuilt or exchanged for a rebuilt one, Ford stamped the motor number on the top of the bell housing (transmission).
This was SOP with Ford. When the motor was dropped into the chassis the motor number was stamped in the frame.
GPA, GPW and GP are exceptions to this rule and have the motor number stamped in the block.
