That’s kind of what I meant, I see lots in the database but not seen one restored to their original configuration. Was the 37mm of US origin?
Ford GPW 6008, in slow process of restoration.

Not sure the country of origin but I recall reading it was adapted from Navy use.

Jackbater:
I hope someone can answer your question about the fate of the M3A1-48057. I did add this to my AUTOCAR list. This unit would have been originally built by Autocar as a M3-75MM GMC "tank destroyer" converted by them to a M3A1 late WW2.

Thanks for the information folks. Please note due to data restrictions I am now posting to new threads specific to each Manufacturer.

WP1: Added Autocar SER# M15A1-2044 ORD#2044 Hood 40157061 winch model in N.Y. Was the Hood number on the vehicle or was this a mathematical calculation?
Torque: Added White M2 SER# 277154 ORD#? Hood#? roller model in Ia.
RB058: Added White M16 SER#293563 ORD#3005 Hood#4061294 winch model w/ ped lamps
Clintm20: Added note to M2 SER#259378 Probably a Scout Car.

Smadge: Got your note re: M2-232 Can you give a reason for the request to delete details on rebuild?
Thanks

I have a half track which has the title registered as a White M3A1. The frame number is M15A1-1600 and the engine number appears to be 160-AX 12418 (if I'm looking a the correct location).
Any thoughts on this, and can anyone tell me a little more about this vehicle?

Thanks

OurDayWWII: I added the Frame number to the NEW Autocar list (SEE NEW STICKY FOR AUTOCAR SPECIFIC NUMBERS). I can no longer add to this list do to SIZE restrictions. What does your title show for a SERIAL#?
Frame # M15A1-1600 is a Autocar number. Many of these were converted to M16A1 configuration in the 1950s.
Is it restored as a M3A1? Is it a roller model?

Kevin,
The title is still in the works in California. I haven't received the vehicle yet. I won't until the title is cleared up. Here are photos of the vehicle. It's a roller.
Thanks!!!

OurDayWWII: It certainly appears as though this was originally a M15A1 built by Autocar. Not sure, from what I can see, if it ever was converted by the US Army to a M16A1 configuration. Many M15 and M15A1's were. Currently it has been restored to a M3A1 Personnel Carrier although the entire back end is not correct. It may be difficult but would be worth attempting to add the correct reproduction rear armor including the door. Still a very nice unit!

Thanks Kevin. I was wondering about the rear armor, as well. Do you know if there’s a good blueprint of the rear? I have a great fabricator that can help me reproduce it.
Side note, or question, really...is there any information on armored jeeps here, or is there another forum? I have an MB and a GPW. Was thinking about building some armor to bolt on for special occasions 😁

Not sure on bluprints. Perhaps look over at halftrackinfo.con. Armored jeeps. Search recon or patton both may produce at least some photos

Kevin-I have a Diamond T. T19 serial #T190260. Unit #4506. I think it had a 105 Howitzer in it. Can you tell me any more about it? The information tags are missing.
Thank you Bert

Jbaptiste63,
Thanks for your information.
M3-27469 is a Frame/ Serial # for a Autocar M3 Half-Trac. The number 48938 does not seem to be associated with this vehicle. Can you tell me more about where it is located, is it stamped or painted?
