Halftrack doors

Post by Latrine_Commander » Sun Jun 12, 2022 9:04 am

Looking at lots of pictures I have noticed something that I need to ask. It might be obvious to many, but i still need to be enlightened.

What is the vertical tube for that is welded to the door latch??? Some have it and some don't. I don't think it has anything to do with holding the window armor upright.... Is it halftrack vs scout car ???

When the top piece is folded down there is a rod that goes inside and holds the canvas door top up in the back.

They are for Canvas Upper Door Covers. The covers have a clear plastic widow sewn in it.
