Radio Set Manual For Sale WW2

Post by John Neuenburg » Fri Jun 10, 2022 9:33 am

On the radio forum I posted a SCR-608/628 manual for sale, TM-11-620. Link to it and pictures is below.

You might know these sets use artillery frequencies and they overlap with the SCR-508/528 more common in mechanized units in the frequency range 27-27.9. I mention this because some people looking for a radio for a vehicle (or at tent) could choose a SCR-608/628 because they look the same as 508/528 except for the data plates, and if the plan is to talk to others one of the pushbuttons can be set up with a crystal in that range. I assume many radios were set up that way originally so infantry, armor, artillery could communicate with each other. If the owner prefers a 508/528, when one comes along buy it and sell the other one (and the manual!). Or install both sets.

The link to the post is below. Manual is $60 USD plus postage. PayPal, check, money order.
