Armed M116 Husky?...

Post by Frank USMC » Sat May 14, 2022 3:54 am

Years ago....I was on a bombing range, there was a tracked vehicle looked like a Husky?...to many years ago. It did not have a closed cab but was open were the driver would sat.
But it had 3 machine gun mounts on it. One on each side, and one on the rear. The mounts were the small ones that would have taken the the M60 or M1919A4 mounts.
What did I see that day? As every time I see a photo of a open tracked cargo carrier I have never seen one with machine guns in the cargo area.
Yes, sadly she was going to be a target on the range

Wonder if it's been shot up yet or if it still could be saved.

Can you post a few pictures? I've always really liked the those vehicles, would love to find one, but as I think I said before, less than 100 were made.
