These are the same type of WW2 Ordnance chests used in the WW2 M3 75mm Gun Motor Carriage. Here is the kind used in the M3 (as depicted in Doyle's book on Brent Mullins' outstanding restoration).
These do not have the brackets on the lid nor the partition inside (depicted in period images of the M3 inspection layouts in Hunnicutt's Halftrack book). Otherwise, they are identical.
Measure 29.15" wide x 13.5 " deep x 11.25" tall. Note the document (Lube Chart?) holder provision under the lid. Only marking is a stamped number "F6534198" on top. ORIGINAL paint is VG on both. ZERO rust, damage or extra holes. Extremely nice chests.
