I have just learned that Gary has sold his business. I have never owned a halftrack (I want one bad) but whenever I called Gary with questions, he always had the time to talk to me. I don't believe another man on this planet has done more to save the halftrack and parts throughout the world. He devoted decades helping others with advice, parts, used halftracks and still responds to threads on this board. I wish him the best in life in his retirement but, I know he will never retire completely from this hobby. I for one thank you Gary for all you have done.

Gary has been GREAT to me! Always went out of his way to help me no matter what. I still text or call him from time to time for help and then get a lot of parts from Julian.

Hello,

I too want to thank you Gary for saving the Halftrack future for us all, by your dedication and hard work.
I have always enjoyed speaking with you, and ordering beautiful original parts from you for my 2 Halftracks.
I assure you I look forward to buying parts from your capable daughter, now running your great company !!

Halftracks are incredible US Military History on wheels and tracks, recognizable, on sight, around the world .

Enjoy your retirement to the fullest !!!

WOWEE, what a shock . I can say that the interaction I had with Gary was completely positive. When I was working on the M-16 A2 at Ft. MacArthur Museum and had questions that I couldn't find the answers to from our circle of friends, Gary had the answers. He was instrumental in providing the necessary brake parts needed to get that Halftrack to stop properly.
I genuinely hope that Gary is at peace with His decision and happy with the new path He has chosen. I have read a lot of comments about different topics over the years but chose to keep my opinions to myself. "Old Boys" like Gary who have the wealth of knowledge in His particular niche' are hard to find and even harder to let go. Thanks Gary for the help you provided back then. Dave.
