Earnie:
We have a dead Sherman down here in Va. I can't set a value on your piece,(see bottom link 1K) but have a curiosity about it, as why would they cover so many pre-cut holes with blanking plates unless it was repurposed for another vehicle? It may have come from a Sherman parts bin, but could it be off a later vehicle that had less components, hence the blanking plates (which can be removed if desired for the Sherman purpose)
(Never mind, figured it out)

Found it "M4A3 dashboard (mid-production) [TM-9-7018 - Medium Tank M4A3] September, 1954 - part number unknown"

Dashboard Web page (neat)

Here's one on the G for comparison, sold for 1K (asking 1K might have sold for less I suppose)

Does antybody know how to get in touch with Willy?
We pmed back and forth, he said he would take it and pay via paypal last week
I haven't heard from him since,
and my last 2 pms are still in the outbox
i have another party interested, but i do not want to seem unfair to Willy, especially if he tried to pay and there was a problem.
thank you

I know the rule for waiting for College Professors was 15 minutes....
I'd say if the PayPal hasn't hit after a week, it's not happening. Things do come up, and France has been a little tumultuous of late with the next French Revolution about to happen :D
But if he doesn't respond to you after your public post....and the price was within reasonable financial capability of a purchaser to provide..... life moves on.

M2CW---- I would wait. Likely the postal system and ISPs are in a turmoil with labor issues associated with the riots and work stoppages. Plus, he may be having issues with his workplace and/or workers. Effects are probably just like a hurricane - major disruption of everything!!!!!

Willy is well known here in France; I’m sure he has a good reason, he isn’t a ghost buyer for sure ;)
