Holy cow Mark - what a fantastic half-track. And what a blast to be able to get it out to a show. It looks superb! And congratulations on 1st place!!

Great job on getting the halftrack to the show and having a great turnout for it.

I have to admit, when we pulled in thru the gate on Friday AM at 6:45 A.M. to set up, there was quite a gathering of watchers as we fired her up and took her off the rollback. I felt like a millions bucks regards all the interest from other collectors and the excitement we were generating. Un-beknown to me, the show was broken down into show areas (Ford, Chevy Mopar etc and Misc), although there was nothing in the instructions I received from the sponsor regards that. I just happen to pull into the Ford area (Nice wide and grassy parking spots), although there were not that many vehicles there and began setting up my display before the open at 9:00 AM. I had just finished setting my display up when I was approached by a sponsor member asking me why I was in Ford country? I quickly responded that my jeep was a 42 Ford GPW and that we were in the right place. He chuckled and stated he never knew that Ford made WWII Jeeps. So I gave him a quick history lesson regards Bantam, Willys, and Ford and the jeep WWII story.
