Re: Tracked Before and After
Here's how the halftrack looked when I brought it home in March 2011. It came off of a large farm in Texarkana, Ark.
The flatbed was thankfully only spot welded on to the floor supports.
The bumper was really messed up with extra steel plate welded on.
The next three pictures show the condition it was in on the morning it was to be transported to St. Louis.

Re: Tracked Before and After
After gathering parts for 5 years and then 1 and1/2 years of intensive restoration, here's the (almost) finished Halftrack! It left the White factory in August 1943 as a M16 Model but was restored as a M3 Model.

A mate of mine bought one in Berlin in excellent condition and had it shipped to Sydney.
They are a great machine. You are to be commended.

Looks like a great project !!
Would that M-15A1 Armor be available for sale ?
Or are you restoring it as an M-15A1 ?
I have a converted Autocar that was originally an M-15A1, that would be nice to restore back to the M-15a1 configuration.
I am located in Florida.
Best Regards,
Ray
