Re: Tracked As Found
Imagine what was going through our minds at the museum when we were notified that someone wanted to donate a halftrack to our little Museum. So, of course we ask for photos. Well, it turn our to be beyond our restoration capabilities. No, they wouldn't let any parts go either.

Re: Tracked As Found
Oh, it was well over a year ago, maybe two. I came across the photo in my collection I got from the gent that was "giving" it away and thought I would share it. I do remember him stating that all we had to do was come and get it to something to that affect. I also seem to remember it was in hills southeast of Sacramento, CA, maybe Placerville or some place like that.
Stolen? Wow, how desperate do you have to be. I did tell others about it that are in the MV world, but I hope and believe they aren't the type to do something like that.
I'll look through old emails and see approximately that was and if I come across something I will let you know.

Not mine but wish it was. Owner will not part with it. The front frame half has been torch cut. Was used by a phone company in the 50's to lay phone lines. Still has the mortar baseplate in the rear.

Re: Tracked As Found
I see in one of the photo's of the M3 recently purchased by Jeff Chester
what appears to be the remains of an Oliver hg or 0C3 in the background...
who owns it?
Is it for sale? I need some parts. Please advise.

Re: Tracked As Found
Here's pictures of the halftrack I recently purchased. It's serial number is 282710. It was on a farm in Texarkana Arkansas. They had owned it since 1992. It has the typical farmer mod with the flatbed on the back. Luckily it is only spotwelded on the floor flanges so it shouldn't be too difficult to remove. I've been accumulating parts in the two months since I purchased the track. Needless to say I've got a long way to go!

Hello Hammerhead,
Finding the original hood numbers under the paint would tell the model your halftrac was originally built as.

Sherman Tank - Southern France Invasion Beach - Nov 2011 (Pic borrowed from another forum).
Unfortunately the scrap man has taken rather too much away I think.
