Yeah, just let me know when you are in the area. We are still working on how to get it here, but we are hoping within a month it will be here.

You get it up there and I will make it a point to come up and help you out when I can! I know that a little extra manpower always helps in any project!

Dinadin, that is quite the project, one tracked vehicle wasn't enough? I'm thinking you wont be going down any paved roads with those tracks. But you wont be getting stuck either. Really like the HST I would of done one of those if I hadn't found the half track.

Rock on

You know Don I had told myself that the next big military vehicle would be wheeled. But this was a good deal and the other guys are really fired up about it. Our goal is to get those welded on channel iron on the tracks off before we load it up.

I think once all that channel is knocked off it will be much easier on the pavement. the German half tracks aren't to bad on it with their steel tracks.

An Airarc would be my recomendation. Lot less heat and slag. Just be sure to connect the ground directly to the grouser your working on. Post a picture now and again :D

Found another halftrack yesterday. Actually I've known about this one for a while now but didn't know its exact location. My co-worker is into Geocaching and found it last weekend and sent me some nearby coordenants. I found it yesterday. It is rough but does have some nice parts on it. It is a M2 converted to M2A1, Frame number 273289, Ord. serial number 8823 and was a roller model. In its current condition the frame has been stretched at least ten feet, logging winching system on back powered by a Cadillac V-8 and Hydromatic transmission (see post in armor section), has some aluminum floor boards, original lower rear armor piece, early steering wheel, windshield armor, combat rims, tracks and bogies bad, looks like some sort of dash fire, all gauges are bad. engine bad. here are some photos. I did asked the owner if it was for sale and said no and if it was I couldn't afford it.
