SOLD: NEW 2002 Izzy Halftrack Tracks and N.O.S. Sprockets

Post by Mtn-Track » Tue Aug 13, 2019 12:36 pm

*** SOLD ***

Cleaning out the shop of surplus halftrack stuff, so more things will surface shortly.

Someone’s sure to ask so here’s the story on THIS set of halftrack tracks;

This is the last set of new tracks from a special 2002 limited production run of fifty we had made by Urdan Industries in Israel. Some of you know they were the original supplier of tracks to the IMOD and also a supplier of modern tank and missile components to the United States. These are the last tracks to come off the halftrack molds before they were sold and presumably scrapped several years ago. These are not the same Izzy tracks produced in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s that ended-up being scrapped by the IMOD due to “issues”, some of which ended up here in the US. That series of tracks were made with stainless cables and neoprene-blend rubber. The stainless stretched and work-hardened over time and the stiffer neoprene rubber would split causing the track to fail. As a result they stopped producing tracks with this combination of materials and went back to what was reliable, durable, and worked best. These 2002 tracks were made with phosphor-bronze-coated plow steel cables and natural rubber due to its proven record of strength, abrasion resistance, and fatigue resistance on the IMOD Halftracks. These were not only the last, but considered by Urdan as the best version of halftrack tracks they would ever produce.

These have always been stored in the back of a dark warehouse in dry N/E CO. They’re the original/correct WWII pitch and dimensions so no additional drive components are required. The only markings on them are the date of manufacture: ‘ 9-2002’ in VERY fine numerals on the side-wall.

$5,500USD for the set of two, banded and wrapped on a pallet, FOB 80524, ~600 pounds.

I also have two N.O.S. drive sprockets for $250USD/each if you need some.

I will NOT export these. PM me if interested! Thanks.
