What a wonderful piece of kit that thing is. Would love to see it fully restored and running.

I traded the track to a collector and restorer for an M3A1 Scout Car. He and a friend are planning a restoration at some point. I hope to see progress posted on the G at some point. I agree, it will be a great project. I wish I had the facilities to restore the heavy vehicle and haul it to events. In the end, the SC, which is lighter and more practical (from a use standpoint) will be a better project for me.

Good news it's inside for the first time in 70+ years. Work under way to get it running again. Will definitely post some updates as progress is made. :) Can a man have too many halftracks?

Thank you for the kind words Jon. Half-tracks are addicting.

Congrats Clintm20!!

That is a great track and I'm glad you will save it! That's the straightest Winch Bumper I've ever seen on a rescued Halftrack!! And the original Winch cover !! Dang that is a great start for a restoration!!!!

Clint,
That looks like a great addition to the motorpool.

Thanks Gary. I'd be interested in trading it for an M16 or M16A2 in similar condition depending on logistics involved. Not interested in any M16A1 trades.
