G519 Persons Saddle clamps

Post by Adrian J Hardgrave » Wed Mar 17, 2021 4:33 am

Hi All,

I have an August 1943 Columbia G519, and recently bought a 1943 Huffman serial number H119077, with a frame tag indicating it was previously used at LCA - Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.

As you can see, it's nearly complete, if a little battered. Except for the saddle.

I've got the correct original springs and pan, and these will be recovered shortly. I am lacking the saddle clamp still.

I understand that the saddle clamp is unique to this spring frame. Standard Persons saddles of this type have 1 inch wide frame bars. These are heavier duty at 1 1/8 inch.

The picture below shows some New Old Stock ones, and I'm aware there were some replicas made a few years ago.

Does anyone have one, or better still, two of these clamps, original or repro, for sale please?

I'm based in France, but I have a US address to which they could be sent if you'd prefer not to export.

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

Adrian
