YES! sorry there has been TONS of progress I just haven't posted so buckle up here comes a few posts with photo dumps!!
So back in August I dropped off my motor at my buddies local shop for him to go through and rebuild. I just don't have the specialty tools to split, balance and machine what needed to be done. Plus it gave me more time with my daughter and get the other odds and ends done. Another thing I sent out in August was my speedo to Stan at vintage Rust in AZ. He originally told me it was going to be 7 months for him to go through my speedo but email him in a few and he'd bump me up. He did and I got that back in November and he did an amazing job. I only wanted him to mechanically go through and preserve all my original parts/patina. Right after that came back in the mail I was lucky enough to SCORE an NOS speedo cable off ebay.

After getting the motor home I went through my trans and did all new gaskets/seals and then put it all into the bike. I didn't have a clutch nut tool and all the $85 ones were sold out so I decided to make my own for $5. Went to harbor freight got the biggest impact socket they had 27mm. I then machined out the inside stepped to fit the shape of the nut. After marking the tabs and cutting them out I welded a ring around and tacked each tooth it worked out perfect!

And last brings us up to this last weekend when I painted my CC#s, formation and unit sign. Since my bike is an early 42 I used the Early CC#s that started with cc 1040001. I went with the 1st Canadian army attached to the 2nd Canadian Anti-Aircraft artillery unit. I also put a red paint ring on the converted right had throttle to note that it had been change from left. (I was told that was done during the war and liked the idea!)
I am waiting on an order of a few hardware pieces to come in on thursday so I can put my chain on and button this little baby up. If all goes well I hope to fire it up for the first time this weekend!

Seriously, nice work!! This is one of the threads I enjoy reading the most, so I was happy to see you had some updates. Your quality of work and attention to detail are equally impressive. So, what are you going to buy/build when this is done??

Great work always like the little details.
Your spark plug wires are meant to loop under the frame and up and over the wishbone on the right side
to keep them off the head of the motor.
There was a clip implemented at some point in the assembly of these bikes but I use that method.

Thanks Guys! I tried to run my wires over the frame but unfortunately when I was putting them into my coil I trimmed them a little shorter for a "cleaner" look and now don't have the length to go over the frame. Maybe one day I'll change it but for now I don't want to pull it and do all that. Took the bike for a little shake down ride yesterday but didn't go to far since its not registered yet. Found a few odds and ends I had to fix but I think its good now and will go for another spin around this week

My next build Im currently in the middle of and now that the bike is pretty much done its time to get back on to Mamas 1974 Jeep Wagoneer. I don't think this forum has a spot for this build but here's a few pics, had the upholstery done on the seats, picked up the new motor (trans converts to 4x4 with transfer case adapter) and pulled the old 360 out and ready for cleaning the underside.

First, AWESOME job on the WLC!! Second, the Wagoneer project sounds and looks like it's going to be a fun one! When you're done you might end up having the fastest Wagoneer on the West Coast

You have any leads on a front stand????? About to make one from scratch if I can't find one 43s are easy but finding a 42 ha!. Also haven't finished the passenger rear seat

Well first off I have to say thank you for bringing up that I was missing the front stand and then saying you did realize that there were a difference in the 42 vs 43. I went on ebay just moments ago to grab a pic of the 43 stand since I've saved every 42 I could find. I typed in WLC front stand (I search for them often) and the first thing that popped up was and OEM 42 front stand with a buy it now button so I GRABBED IT!!!
Noooooooooow my bike will be complete... I expected this part to take years to find or end up making one... but your post made it happen way sooner
As far as the rear pass seat I believe all early 42wlc's had them starting with black seats on the very early production then going to brown leather
