WTB British WWII M20 Motorcycle parts

Post by Quest Master » Fri Oct 12, 2018 4:02 pm

WTB WWII British M20 motorcycle parts. What I have is a complete 1943 frame (front to rear), rear wheel and motor mounts. Looking for everything else (preferably in the U.S.) engine, front forks, gas tank, front wheel, fenders, seat, handle bars...on and on. Let me know what you have. Thanks!

I have quite a few parts left from my WDM20 project. Fuel tank, oil tank, tool box (I believe the fuel tank is original,im not sure if the other 2 are or repops). Headlight and bucket is a civy, handlebars(old chromed) I think a spare rear post war number plate, and some other miscellaneous parts.

This is what I have, a 1943 BSA M20 SN 103026, which was built in the last part of 1943. Super happy to have rescued it! Was found in New Hampshire!

Hi Van,

Nice start for a restoration! Have the following info on this bike, the wartime registration number (on the gas tank) was: C5213726 the postwar British Army number was: 93-YC-04, it was sold by the Army in Germany on 21-02-1969, probably bought by Ansel's in South Carolina, who bought up loads of bikes and imported them into the US.

All the info comes from my Key-Card archive, the card # is 88a, if you want a high-res scan from the whole card, (about 15 bikes) drop me a line, it costs $29.00

Have an oil tank, small parts and a tool box f/s. if you need them.

Grtz,

Alex

Thanks everyone!
I'm on my way, I now have complete set of front forks and engine S/N 7805 (October 1939, a bit early - but I am going to use it!) and have added this M20 to my website with historic known details:
http://www.questmasters.us/1944_BSA_M20.html

Keep letting me know if you have un-needed parts kicking around to put this bike back on the road!
Thanks,
Van

Still looking for parts. Big items still needed: Front wheel, front and rear fenders, handle bar controls, seat, battery tray, then a slew of smaller parts. Let me know what you have kicking around!

Still need correct magdyno, front brake, speedometer, outer primary cover and chains.
