Hey I'd like to repair my speedo. I love the cracked glass and the old look it's got but although the needle works, none of the odos do.
Anyone repair these things ? I did have a name in the States a while ago but I've lost it.
Europe would be easier but I'll contact anyone who can do the job anywhere really.
Or does a replacement "working parts" exist. I also saw that I could buy a repro one from W&W in Germany. Wonder if the parts are compatible so I could keep the dial and glass. Maybe not so easy to take them apart either.

Read this first. If you feel comfortable with mechanics and have the needed tools, do it yourself. if not, send it off. I have never sent one for repair and cannot make a recommendation. Knowing that they charge $300-400 or more is an indication that it can be labor intensive, requires a certain skill, and specialized tools. Good luck.

This guy re-did mine and had no problems cost $275 a few years back. He can leave it original but will have to remove ring to do so. AMCA approved.

Re: WLA speedo repair
It's simple. Need flared outer ring that holds the glass. It bends back. The ring is quite soft, easily unbent and then bent back. Like a can lid. Importantly, accuracy. Even the original paint will not fall off. I've fixed 7 speedometers in the last couple of years. Now I have on sale there is one restored speedometer. I was changing the broken glass and the arrow.David V wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 8:58 amHey I'd like to repair my speedo.
