Do you know what the `dry` weight is?
Empty without bikes or gas cans?
I`m guessing @ 700-750lbs?
Plus 2 Harleys at @ 550+ lbs each

I would say that's a reasonable guess. Maybe more like 850-900 lbs.

Well I finally got the lights hooked up, thanks to AZ Jeff for the Signal Corps box that made a perfect place to mount the socket. Joe at Vintage Wiring made me a period intervehicular cable from an NOS longer one I sent him. Now, to haul this thing around to get some miles on it.....

Just awesome! I am still gathering my parts for my 41 WLA. Your 41 WLA looks just great!

Rob,
Thanks for the kind words. Mine is a Type II 41 WLA also. I really haven't had this rig out anywhere yet. I plan on taking it out for a bit today.

Steve

Thats an outstanding set up.THe details and design show some real talent and a lot of thought.I really like how you used the canvas covers on the frame for rock guards.THe CC,bikes and trailer are head turners front to back. Thanks for posting

RRD,
Thanks for the compliments. I know the Army would have never used those canvas guards, but I know from experience, that the front surfaces would be pitted in no time from the tow vehicle kicking up debris.

The bikes and the trailer are for sale as a package. I have titles for all. The 41WLA has 51 miles since being completely restored back in 2007-2008. It may very well be one of the best original numbers matching 41WLA’s in the world. There were only approximately 1800 of this model originally made. The 42WLA has approx 250 miles since it’s complete resto in 2006-2007. Both bikes and the trailer are as new. They’ve only been in my shop with double covers on them for the last 11 years. Price for the package is $75k. You can call me from my website linked at the bottom of this post, if you have questions.

Steve, I just stumbled over your post. May I suggest you attach some photos to this thread (showing all that is for sale)? Not my business, of course, but I'm sure it would help you get some responses.

Cheers,
TJ

Thanks for the suggestion. The bikes are well pictured in this thread. The WC-51 is now sold. The Command Car is also pictured in this thread. Go back to page 1 to see them.

Steve,
If they don't sell by April, bring it all to the Camp Plymouth swap meet and MV show April 14-19. MV fans from dozens of states and several foreign countries will be there with full wallets. If you don't rent one of the dust free RV sites to show them off, I probably have room in my shady site. Or if you sell the package prior to that, could be the buyer is planning to attend the meet. He could pick them up there.
