Got my front stand in the mail blasted and painted it. Had to make the stand catch and some sleeves but luckily had the springs from when I tried to order a repop stand months ago only to find out that they aren't made anymore. Only thing I want to change out are some castle nuts for the cotter pins

Scored a nice British style seat for my rear! Awhile ago I ordered a repop and when I got it I was not impressed and decided to wait on continuing the fabrication of the seat frame till something better was found. Early 42s came with black leather so when I found this nice pre war Wrights that had the look I wanted I was back at it!

On another note... As I've been riding around I've hit the rear part of the skidplate on the ground several times. While looking at pictures it seems that original plate fit tighter around the muffler so my plan is to cut move and re weld the plate in and a little up.

Also found this tool roll for a decent price at the swap meet on sunday, don't know to much about what tools are correct any ideas? I noticed the pin on the chain breaker was broke but I have an idea on how I can repair that

Where did you mount the reartab of the skidplate to?
It looks like you used the wrong hole, or the tab is too long..
Normally, there's about 1,5 cm / 0,5" clearanc e between skidplate and muffler, and the skidplate is more horizontal

I used the same hole that you are using in the picture you sent but my tab might be longer than yours. I think I will try unbolting that part and see if I can push it up far enough to drill a new hole and cut the other off
