Looking to buy NOS or repro rubber base pads that mount on the cowing and support the base of the windshield when it is in the up position. See photo of my original pads below. These are worn and hard as a rock.

Hi David,
As far as I know, it is only a metal U bracket and no rubber in it.
regards, Bob

Re: WTB GPA windshield rubber resting pads
It is hard to argue with the picture Bob posted but I have heard of more than one case of period looking remnants of rubber windshield rests. It also seems logical to have a insulator rather than a steel on steel contact area. There were no remnants of rubber on 5510 when I restored it. However, I fashioned rests out of some hard rubber and my windshield latches fit very well indicating a need for this pad.

Hi Dave, Steve and other interested,
I looked again at my pictures, and as far as I know, the early models have a rubber seal like the normal Jeep.
Here some other pictures without the extra rubber in the metal rest.
Straight from the factory !

Re: WTB GPA windshield rubber resting pads
Thanks everyone for all the input and great photos. I guess my rubber pads were a civvy add-on.
