GPA Anchor with rode chain?
My first post in the forum even though I I have been using your knowledge and expertise on the tools and ordnance I collect. I picked this anchor up at a yard sale, I live in a fishing/boating community, and was wondering if the chain rode on this anchor could be original? The anchor is in great condition, 30# Mark II with what appears to be original green paint. From what I could find the line would have been a 3 inch but I assume it would have had a chain rode. It has some specs of green paint, just curios as most pictures off GPA’s don’t show an anchor or the line attached. It looks period

Ccyooper,
GPA maintenance manual illustration seems to suggest that what was connected to the anchor was a cable, not a chain. However, the parts manual does not indicate what it may have been originally.

Re: GPA Anchor with rode chain?
Thank you for the reply. I’ll keep looking and see if I can find a period picture with the line, cable or chain. Regards
