Oil change in my gamma goat engine

Post by Top1973 » Tue Jul 09, 2024 7:47 pm

I’ve only owned my goat about three weeks. I’m getting ready to change the oil in my gama goat I’m from the Midwest, do I just use regular Rotella T4, 10w-40. Or is there something better that I should be using on this older engine?

Thanks for the help.

Nothing special about the engine (other than noise) it's not relatively "Old" being in the 60's, 70's.
Shell Rotella should be fine for it, no turbo or supercharger, but if the oil states it's rated for it , it basically means it won't cook and solidify (coke) under extreme heat in turbo bearings.
I will use it in my Goat if I ever get past starter issues.
