Tail light bracket for 3A
Looking for the bracket that sits behind the rear tail light and body panel for a 3A. I believe they went into production around 1950 or 51.

Re: Tail light bracket for 3A
Hi Rus,
I need just one - I have a decent one for the other side.

Re: Tail light bracket for 3A
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the spacer was originally only used on the left taillight to move the light out far enough to illuminate the tag? Although, my 1964 CJ3B does have spacers on both taillights and I think it looks better with two!

Chuck, I have no idea if the spacer is supposed to be used solely on the left side. Like you, i think it looks better with two!

Re: Tail light bracket for 3A
I don't either.
The Parts List on the 2A Forum doesn't show one for the optional right taillight. The 3B Parts List doesn't show it either.
The unrestored '55 that I used to re-assemble mine shows one:

It may be a personal preference.

Re: Tail light bracket for 3A
The Third Edition Parts List has the bracket/spacer listed (1 only) for CJ2As after s/n 209951...No mention of the right side tail light spacer in the optional equipment "Dual Tail and Stop Light" 35-31, which uses the same part number as the left side tail light.

Re: Tail light bracket for 3A
As I drive my jeep every day (and night) in a major city, I prefer two tail lights! And reflectors! I'd rather be alive and incorrect than the other way around!

I know I am too late to help, but Walck's has reproduction brackets: https://walcks4wd.com/Bracket-Extension ... p_994.html
