I want to use up some of the spare parts that I’ve saved up (hoarded?) over the years. I have a particular reason for wanting a’46. It doesn’t need to be much.
No engine OK
No transmission/transfer case OK
No axles OK
No fenders OK
No windshield OK
No tailgate OK
No title OK
All I really need is a frame, tub, grill, hood and seats.
Of course it needs to be reasonably priced and close enough to retrieve with a reasonable road trip.
I just thought I’d look around and see what’s out there.

Buy the column shift one in the for sale section here. That is a 46, with a 13K serial number. Might not have the body, but that is easy to get.

I might consider a ‘47 if it meets my other qualifications.

I don’t particularly want a column shift. I had enough of that with ‘60s Chevrolets.
St. Louis is not what I would call a “reasonable road trip”
That one has many parts I don’t need, and I do need a body.
Aren’t you the guy that always says there are no useable bodies East of the Rockies?

Re: WTB ‘46 CJ2-A
It would be a reasonable road trip to me. NE CO seems close to St Louis. And by close I mean less than 1000 miles. I didn't actually measure it.
And there are reasonably priced haulers that I use too.
I assumed since you wanted a 46 that you would want the rare column shift
And yes, I see no good bodies any more; however, they make new ones that work fine.
I would take that one on but I have too many projects to do now.
