Ok, to be clear; you owned a 42 Civilian Jeep? (None was made in 42)
And now want a Military CJ Jeep?
While it is true that the US Govt did buy some CJs, they aren't really Military, and do not have any of the features like purpose built Military jeeps do.
I recommend some research before you sink good money into a jeep.
If you want a CJ that has been mocked up and painted green to look Military, sure, plenty of guys have done that. But if you want a real military jeep, it has to be a WW2 MB or GPW, or a 51-52 M38, or a later M38A1, or a later, M151. No military jeeps were made from 46-50. CJV-35U, is a rare exception in 1950.
Or maybe even a CJ3B with Navy data plates, or an M606; a partial Military jeep, made for export.
