Model 25 power lock
I am un familiar with the 23-2 axel . I know that the axel has 10 splines . When you get it out count the axel splines and get me the bearing race number off of your bearing race. I thought your axel would be a model 25 also. Thanks warren

Warren, I just went out to the garage and the axles are 10 splines, but I haven't had the chance to remove anything else. The full floating 23-2 was on the early CJ's and on all MB's. I will try to get it out this week, but work keeps me pretty busy and I'll be in Cleveland, OH for business for two weeks after that. But, I'll try because it needs to come out anyway. You might could ask on the MB discussion board if it will swap 'cause they always seem to have the answer for everything there. I'll keep you posted.

Warren,
I think I have a Lock Rite for a 25-10 spline in the barn. Will look. Remind me if you don't hear in a few days.

Re: Model 25 power lock
I'm looking for a Dana 25 Powerlock, to fit 4.88's, too. A 2110 Lockright will work, also, if anyone has another one.

A Powr lok for a 27 can be modified to work in a 25 and are alot more plentiful. I think Herm has the conversion parts available.

Re: Model 25 power lock
Herm the Overdrive Guy had them a coupe months ago when I last enquired about them:
http://hermtheoverdriveguy.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The kit includes a ring gear spacer and different bearings, to use the Dana 27 Powerlock in a 25 housing. The original gear ratio was usually 3.73 on the 27, hense the need for the spacer to offset the ring gear to fit the smaller drive pinion on 5.38 or 4.88 gear sets.

Re: Model 25 power lock
Early Scouts thru 1966 I believe are a great source for Powr lok units. It seems like most had them in one or both ends and usually had a decal on the dash indicating the presence of a factory Powr lok.
