Cj3A steering column part

Post by Ern Stacey » Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:35 pm

I am looking for the bottom soft plug with the tube where the horn wire goes through on the Cj3A steering box. Is there someplace out there that carrys them or does someone have one in an old steering box willing to sale.

If you can't find one, you can flare a piece of steel brake tubing and braze it into an expansion plug. The Part Number for the Plug and Tube Assy. is 639092, the plug is a 1-1/4" Domed Expansion Plug. The part number was changed to 907654 later on. I do not have the size and length of the steel tubing.

Please check closely. Column shift was on early 1946. Cj2a. Most likely your jeep has a ch2a column.
