FOR SALE 1946/48 CJ2A

This 1946/1948 Jeep CJ2A is restored as stock with several upgrades such as the electrical system to 12v. A Willys L134 “Go-Devil” inline-four provides about 60 HP and 105 pounds of torque power via a T-90 3-speed manual transmission paired with Dana axles.
Title: Willys 1946 CJ2A. However; the VIN number indicates this is a 1948. Title states it is a 1946.

This CJ2A is finished in Forest Green with Smoke Gray trim with contrasting white wheels and a Allstate Jeep Body Model # 7346111, Sears and Roebuck 1950s aluminum top (.04 aluminum) with hinged rear door. Windows slide and are of plexiglass. Top is easily removed and very lightweight. Includes doors. On the left rear body quarter panel are the correct stowage pockets. Mounted spare tire carrier. No modifications and the jeep sits at stock height. The axles are a Dana 25 at the front, Dana 41 at the rear, and the transfer case (high and low) by Spicer. Front Warn lock out hubs. New gaskets. There are several paint blemishes throughout as well as previous tub repairs.
Firewall data plates partially damaged. Body tub # 1990XX. VIN# CJ2A XX5927
Tailgate hinges # RXX3668; XXXXX68.
The windshield lays down on the hood. New safety glass installed.
Body tub and dash are original, so are windshield, grille, tailgate, fenders, hood, tool box, and driver and passenger seat frames.

The interior is unmodified. Instrumentation consists of four individually-mounted round gauges, plus a speedometer/odometer. Gauges for amperage, fuel level, oil pressure and coolant temperature. The tub floors are painted to match the rest of the body.
The black vinyl upholstery is well fitted, with screws securing the material to the tubular seatback, but cracked in several places.
Tires are 700X16 non-directional military. Show minor cracking. A $700.00 allowance has been made in lowered asking price to accommodate purchase of new tires.

- alternator, (low RPM cut in) coil, ignition wires, plugs, points, distributor cap, ignition switch, wiring harness, headlights, taillights and blade fuse box.
-brake system to include master cylinder, 4 wheel cylinders, brake shoes and brake lines.
-4 shocks
-fuel system: repro fuel tank, fuel pump, carburetor, fuel lines, fuel sender
-water pump
-2 radiator hoses
-muffler, tailpipe
-windshield glass and gaskets (2)
-front bumper
-tailgate chains and covers
-clutch plate and throwout bearing
-oil filter and lines
-engine rebuilt 2018 with new main and journal bearings, new piston rings,
valves cleaned and seated, gaskets. New thermostat. Approximately 100 miles driven since engine rebuild. Engine boss stamped: R118582AB2. Pistons are .060, Crank .030 Journals .030.
-Gauges: Fuel, Oil, Temp and Amp
-Horn (12v)
-Choke and throttle cables
-High beam indicator
-3 gearshift knobs
The Jeep must be picked up within 1 week unless other arrangements have been made.

With that serial number u have a 1948 cj2a not a 46 46 only went up to 833??

1946 serial numbers were 11825-148458 and 1948s were 148459-222581

So yes, it falls in the 48 year of manufacture.

However, the title clearly carries the serial number as a 1946, so I chose to list it reflecting what the title indicates.
