Does the inlet look like it goes to the carb on a straight line. 3a's did. I don't have my books handy but if you could send a few more pics I might be interested. E-mail me.

Can you post more images? Seeing the orientation of the top inlet will help (from Steve's post). My thinking is the F-head application would have that inlet at an angle. The extra ring around the middle suggests something other than CJ-3B. What about an early CJ-5?

Not really engaged with military vehicles much, but wouldn't an M38 need to have a snorkel inlet?

I'll get down to the barn and get y'all some more photos.
I don't have an idea where I acquired it - maybe with my old 2A in the parts that followed it here.

More to follow.

From what I can find, I'll have to agree with Steve.

From the CJ3B Page, Caprio's original:
http://cj3b.info/Photos/Siblings/CJ3A/C ... eRight.JPG

From CJ3A Information Page:
https://cj3a.info/tech/aircleaner.html

The text states this is a Donaldson and must have been used in multiple models (above image of Caprio's '51 proves for sure in the 3A).

They combined a few years ago to help each other out.

ADam
Adam,
The CJ3B Page had humble beginnings. However, the author, Derek Redmond, kept adding more information, including fire trucks, airport support, military (like the M606), etc. that showed crossovers or inclusions of extra models. Add to that the overseas contracts, foreign jeeps and historical manufacturing information, the site grew. It includes a lot now, specifically the "siblings" inclusion that shows much more than just 3Bs. I enjoy the inclusion of historical information to show "how it was" back in the day.

Get yourself a beverage and clear your schedule. There's a lot of reading there.
