Speedo Cable for cj2a

Post by Stihl301 » Tue Nov 16, 2021 7:39 am

Good morning my G friends.

So I have a military d18 T-case that has the larger square end on the speedo cable on the T-case side. I emailed Ron about which cable to use. He mentioned that it would need a M38 or m38a1 type. My question is will the MPH be correct or close being it does not have the older style T-case

CJ2-A’s have 5.38:1 final drive gear ratios. M38’s and M38A1’s also have 5.38’s, so if you have a transfer case from one of those, or both speedometer gears from one of those, your speedometer should be correct. I have a good used M38A1 cable if you’re interested.
