Have a M38A1 in our collection that does not have the suppport rods from the windshield to the bow bracket hole. These rods were provided to us but are not correct, in our opinion. The closed loop at one end is different that what we think we need. We'd like to pass these on to the proper vehicle, but don't know what jeep they would be correct for.
In a perfect world we could trade with someone for our A1 rods. In the real world if someone needs these let us know and we will search for the correct A1 rods. Perhaps at the convention this weekend.
Long rod with closed loop is a little over 28" long and the straight rods are 27" long.

I don't know but my 3a the rod from windshield to center support is 34" and no loop. The rods that are on back 1/2 of bow set are 27" they are above the opening for the side curtains and just straight. This is 7 piece top not a folder.

Re: Need help ID bow/top support rods
KW sells the A1 rod set and mentions the side curtain upright is 29" and the windshield to top bow is 39" so this is a pretty short set KW sells several different jeep rod sets and nothing with the loop in them. Hmmm...

Re: Need help ID bow/top support rods
I think these are CJ5 side support top rods and uprights. The rod with the loop in it is the top support and the other straight rod comes up from the hole in the tub, through a channel in the side curtain and is held in place by straps on the top that hold the rods up and back. They do not connect directly to bows like the other rods shown in that previous diagram do.
Are they for sale since you don't need them for your military jeep?
