Ive got a 46 cj2a that is fully restored. An issue i am having is the gas pedal, which is new. Wobbles left and right. There is alot of play in it. I have the flat spring at the base of the pedal installed right. And all new spings on the pedal linkage too. What can i do to remedy this? I cant post photos of how i have it hooked up in the engine bay. Im not on fb. Thanks for the help G men. If someone can post a photo ill email it to them.

Re: 46 cj2a gas pedal wobble
I had a pedal wobble I remedied by putting a few washers in on the shaft at the bottom so there was no room for wobbles.

Ive thought about a od near the id of the holes where the pin goes through. Putting a bolt and lock nut through it to take up the slack in the hinge.

Re: 46 cj2a gas pedal wobble
MATT,
Similar problem that I resolved by drilling all the holes to 5/16" and installing a 5/16" pin OR bolt with a lock nut. I did have to grind out some metal of the pedal to clear the lock nut.

What Brad said.
Make the pin larger or put a bushing in the pedal pivot hole to make the hole smaller.
