?correct carb for FHead 134

Post by ghiltgen » Wed Jan 27, 2021 10:52 am

I found a WA-1 carter carb behind the seat in a CJ2A I bought a couple of years ago and put it in storage. Recently got an F head 134 Willys engine that has a Zeinith carb on it. Im wondering what carb would be correct from Willys for the F head engine. Perhaps they used both? The throttle body on the WA-1 has the number 485 on it which I believe indicates it was made for a Willys vehicle.

Don't have the service book handy but believe the F head carb is a YF

Steve is correct. The standard F-head 134 uses the YF series.

Ok thanks! With the casting number on the base corresponding to Willys it could be from one of there other vehicles. I think some one was going to try to use it for the CJ2A but then figured out the throttle body wouldnt fit the manifold.

It does show Willys carb but other vehicles for usage. Whippet? Americar not sure if they had any trucks or panel vehicles prior to the L head engine
