Hi:
I first posed this question on the MB GPW section and got mixed responses. Both gauges appear to be NOS, one has an olive drab bezel, the other is black. Both capillary tubes are the same length, roughly 23 inches. The number on the case of the olive drab bezel one is 12168. The black one has a hex nut for the block fitting, the olive drab one is square. Are they correct for a CJ2A?

Re: CJ2A Temperature Gauge Or Not
I'm no expert, but I recently broke an original temp gauge that I pulled off a 1946 2A. The bracket on the black bezel unit looks just like the one I pulled out of my 2A. Not definitive proof by any stretch, just an observation.

Re: CJ2A Temperature Gauge Or Not
I would not turn down that nice Temperature gauge, it will look just fine on a MB or CJ-2A thru early CJ-3A.

The black one looks like a correct CJ2A gauge to me. Have you tested it?

Re: CJ2A Temperature Gauge Or Not
Thanks all. I have had a few emails and messages about the gauges and can safely assume, at least the black one is correct for a CJ2A. I have tested it and it worked, also very accurate.

Re: CJ2A Temperature Gauge Or Not
Are you selling either? I’d be interested in the black bezel one.
