K-38 Trailer for GPW/MB
I know wanted to reach out to the forum on the GPW and MB side... I have a K-38 trailer and need to change the tires... but wanted to check with everyone who might have one or had one of these trailers and ask about breaking down the rims. I have removed the four bolts around the axle housing but the rim will not come off? I didn't want to beat on it as these are pretty hard to find if you screw them up... My question is.... do the rims come off the axle housing or do you need to take the entire hub off... change the tires and then repack the hubs/bearings? I can't find a TM on the trailer... that has general maintenance.. If someone has some advice.. I would appreciate hearing from you... thanks, Bob Redfern...

Looks like there were variations based on the wheels so you might be in unchartered territory; https://military-history.fandom.com/wiki/K-38_trailer

Jeff, thanks.... I have used the Trailer forum.. but no responses... seems that not many folks either respond or don't read that section.. so I know that most folks look at this category and thought someone might have an answer... but appreciate your interest and advice.... Oh, and if I can't figure it out.. it might just be up for sale and it will fit right in.... would hate to upset the apple cart!!

Somewhere in this forum we have the manual, I think I had uploaded one I scanned in years ago, it should still be in here if the search engine works.
Wish I had a set of rims for my project K38, I won't start the restoration until I get those, and she's rusting away right now.

Here are some pics (not mine) of one disassembled. Perhaps you can see in one of the pics how the wheels were attached to the hub or axle. Don't know if they help or not.

You have to take the whole hub off.
