I am selling my 1945 Bantam. I have a 1942 Bantam T3 and a newly rebuilt M416 and just don't have room for three trailers and three jeeps anymore.
This has been a durable hauler and has done more than a hundred trips between Pennsylvania and New Jersey behind my pickup. It tows very well at highway speed. It has been to many reenactments, car shows, and displays and shows very well.
Here is the entire story:
>It started life as a T3C. When I got it, the tailgate was laying in the bed. It was then welded back on 20+ years ago.
>It is a 1945 built from leftover WW2 Bantam parts. It has 4 tie-downs per side and has the blackout switch.
>It did have a Fulton hitch, but I replaced it many years ago with a T3 casting, landing leg, and lunette. I added a non-functional Bantam handbrake.
>WW2 Bantam safety chains.
>Good condition tarp - patched in spots, but watertight. Recently CANVAK treated.
>It has functional tactical lights and the proper umbilical cable. It is also wired with 4-pin cable and civilian lights that work with my pickup.
>The bed was primed with POR and then painted with bed liner last year.
>It was repainted this spring with Aervoe Flat WW2. Larson stencil marked for Battery A of the 695th Armored Field Artillery.
>Nearly new 6.00X16 NDT military tires.
>Current NJ registration. Will sell with registration and bill of sale. The data plate is the registered serial number.

Sir,
I realize this is an old post but i was curious if the trailer is still for sale?
Respectfully,

Re: 1945 Bantam Trailer for sale
Yes it is.
We had it out last night at our local National Night Out event behind our '44 MB.
Looks good, trails well, and makes a great display table as well!
