MBT trailer March 1945
I am restoring a trailer and came across numbers on the underside of the frame. 131803. What do they represent? I also have the original data plate.
Thanks

If they were underneath the left front spring hanger they are the tub number. Send an e-mail to Chuck Lutz, (email in his profile), He may be able to provide you with a DOD and registration number.

Re: MBT trailer March 1945
Hi Robert,
Are you sure about your ACM body tub number.
Just yesterday I found this same number on a Bantam T3 trailer that has been in our shed for some years..
See attached photo
Would you have a photo of the original plate? My best guess is that it would be in the 63xxx serial number range, around first half of March 1945
Cheers,
Johan

Interesting!
Robert, is there either a W or B in that number or could the 3 actually be an 8 (131808)

Re: MBT trailer March 1945
Hi guys!
I’m Michael from Vienna, Austria and own since November 2019 a trailer, maybe a Willys MBT or a Bantam. Who knows? The typical differences at the shock absorber suspension was one of Willys and one of Bantam. Additionally I found one Ford (!) brake drum. The frame number is 120061. No other identification hints found. There is no “B” or “W” at the frame number. Could please someone tell me, which kind of trailer I own? Who could help with a possible DOD or serial number? For any information I would be grateful!
Thanks
Michael

For Willys, it's produced near the end of production numbers in march 44.
ACM 120061 for Bantam was produced around nov 1944.
by my info the W was discontinued in jan/feb 43 and the B in march 43.
