Hello Everyone
Do any of you guys have an opinion as to any manufacturer/dealer who's producing a close copy of the trailer canvas?
regards Nick

Nick, John Worthing does them. He is located near Ludlow , Shropshire. I have never been disappointed with any of his products. :D

You might die before delivery from what I hear....or before you can even order.

Thanks for the input. I looked at their website. And indeed doing so raises another question . They state that their m100 cover is the same as one for an mbt. So my question is . Was their any difference in style between original willys and Bantam covers?

Now you have asked a question that might fall into Farrell Fox's domain...and I say that because the width of the canvas and any stitching of pieces together might identify a Bantam from a Willys tarpaulin.

For instance, here is an original WWII top from Italy and as you can see, it is constructed with a middle seam running from the front to the rear panel. No idea if this is Bantam/Willys, early/late or if there even WAS a difference between one made for the Bantam or one made for the Willys trailers.

...I posted the photos so you can at least say that this is how TWO of them were produced.

Hello Chuck - There seem to be several making reproductions, is there a favorite that is priced reasonably? Also, I’m in Oregon, so would prefer to buy on domestic rather than farm UK. I see them on eBay, Midwest Military, and other places. I’d like to buy one that is well made for my trailer, but not certain who to get it from. Do you or others have an opinion?

G-529 (MBT/Bantam) and G-747 (M-100) do share the same Willys and Ordnance Part Number and specs.. I have the Drawing and specs in my filing cabinet.at my office. Maine problem with reproduction is not unstalling correct grommets. They are to be marked on the bottom side. I have a WWII Tarp stored with my parts. One will note that the rope material alternated from Manilla, Sisal, etc. There is another ORD Number involved in the spec for these tarps.

The WWII 1/4 Ton Trailer Tarp set me by Lawrence NABHOLTZ was manufactured by Tweedie Footware. ORD# is 7328289, it has White cottonlike tiedown rope. Who is to say it did not start out on a brand new MBT or BT-3.

That's very interesting info. So I guess it raises the question. Are you willing/doing, remakes of Willys and bantam trailer canvas's Farrell?
