I'm looking for an M416 blackout brake light bracket and light, if anyone knows where I might come across one.
Thanks

OP is referring to the bracket that mounts the black out brake light to the tail light bucket from behind. The little light between the service brake bucket and reflector in the below picture.

I'm curious, as I don't possess a trailer-
Is this bracket shared on other trailer models? perhaps the m100?

It is used with trailers that have the 6" Round Tail Lights that are upgraded (or manufactured with) to two Service Tail Lights. The Bracket is to install the separate small B.O. Stop Light at the right rear. The B.O. Stop is similar to the front B.O Markers, but has a slightly different lens. The Service Tail Lights do not have the B.O. Stop at the top and the separate unit is necessary. The extra Service Tail light was available in an upgrade kit that included extra wires and connectors, this kit gave the trailer directional light capability. The kits were for the M-100, M-101 and 1-1/2 Ton Cargo Trailer upgrade. I have a couple Kits in my spares that I am saving in case I get another M-100.

The bracket for the extra BO Stop Light in Bill's picture should be pretty easy to fabricate if you have a vise to bend it in.

Sean,
I believe that I may have the bracket and lights as described. I no longer need the ones I have as I changed the lights on my own M416 trailer. You can have them for $10 plus shipping. I'm on the east coast at zip 02780.

Old thread, I know. I am looking to fab up a couple of the blackout stop light brackets for my 2 M100s. Does anyone have one that they can send me some pics of? Or dimensions? I found one pic of the tail light and b.o. light assembly, but the angle wasn't good enough to get an idea about the bracket.

Never mind. After a long search last night, I found pictures from all angles showing the measurements also.

I tried to find my NOS to send you, these used to come in a tail light conversion Kit for the 3/4 Ton and 1-1/2 Ton Trailer.

Hey Joel, I appreciate it, but I found an old post on another forum that had pics with measurements for the bracket. I bought some 1/8" flat bar to fabricate it out of (should be 3/16", but mine didn't need to be that heavy) from Tractor Supply. It only took about 20 min to make and looks/fits great. The side view pic doesn't look right, but I assure you it is a 90deg bend.

And I'll bet tat a lot of conversions were without the kits with blueprints, wire and prefabbed brackets. The GI Issue kit came with enough wire to do a M-100M-416 and the 3/4 ton and 1-1/2 Ton Cargo Trailers. The Army started going big to put better lighting on Wheeled Vehicles in the early 60's.
