Hello everyone,
I would like to share my ww2 trailer for my 1944 GPW. Live in the state of Washington. It came from the the state of Oregan and with no title.
I traded for it in September 2016. These pictures are taken just after I traded of it. The frame is stamped 170xxx, no data plates. But I need to take a picture of that and post it.
Someone cut out the back. Wroug tail lites. Some extra tail lite guards. The pintal was cut and had a 2" hitch installed. I have posted pictures of the repairs I finished to correct. I wll post more soon.

Here is a picture of the bottom of my frame drivers front, in front of the spring hanger. Where my Vin number is stamped 101701. Unfortunately the ID tag on the tub is missing. Can any of you tell me when it was made? I will restore it soon and hopefully be able to find out the correct numbers it had.

Some updates on my MB trailer.
Just got my OD canvas cover.
Repaired the pintle ring.
I purchased two LH NOS Guide tail lights from one of my close friends.
Purchased a NOS landing leg, need to paint it and install it.
Looking forward to driving my jeep and trail behind it this summer.

That's how I justified my first trailer. PO cut a very nice tailgate. Second trailer is uncut. I justified that one as being more original and therefore more appropriate for parades and historical displays.

Once my 44 GPW on the road this summer. I plan to work on this trailer. I have two ww2 gas can brackets that will mount on both sides down low and in front on the fenders. Correctly repair and weld back the rear section. All I need is some correct safety chains and data plate. I will give it a correct paint job.

Been busy collecting original parts. respond to a local craigslist add. Was able to trade for an original trailer tag.
That is very close to my DOD of my GPW. The round reflectors are Arrows.

One of my NOS gas can brackets that I have on mounted on both sides. AN original black out switch. That needs a lot of work.

I like the gas can bracket mounted like that. Think I'm going to do the same set up
on my 416 too. Trick it out a little. Looks good.
