transmission parts needed
I need ring assembly 2099 and ring 2097 for my transmission. Anyone know where I might find these.

Re: transmission parts needed
The numbers that you have posted are for front steering knuckle parts? Could you tell me just what parts in the trans you are looking for. I have completely rebuilt my Mite trans and transfercase.
Thanks, Ed

Re: transmission parts needed
The parts book you are using is the older version of the parts book. The new (old) book has 1967 on the cover and is not online.
The parts you are looking for are 2520-710-4810 ring assy. I have seen this on Ebay and the other part is a snap ring 5340-078-5406. It measures int2.452" and is 0.052 thick. these are the military part numbers.
Good luck,
Ed

Re: transmission parts needed
Daryl Bensinger has the parts also. I purchased most of my trans/transfer case parts from him.

Re: transmission parts needed
Hi Lawrence,
Bensinger should have the 2nd gear syncro ring (with the aluminum cone riveted on). I’m guessing one of the pins has sheared from the original part ? Worst case, have a new pin machined….provided the aluminum cone is serviceable.
McMaster has internal spiral rings in inch & metric. Can’t tell from the repair manual if the ID/OD dimensions are ‘as installed in a groove’ or for a ‘free’ ring. https://www.mcmaster.com/internal-snap- ... g-rings-6/
The large coil spring (part “J“ on the on-line manual) can fracture at the 90 degree bend and damage gears. Check carefully for cracks or replace it with NOS.
