hey men Question my speedo isn't working narrowed it down to the drive that comes out of the transfer case not spinning,
i put a socket on it to remove to see whats up and it moves just a little but i stopped , has anyone removes that , is there a trick to it,
dont want to Snap Crack the housing ,
also in 4 gear she gets a little noisy with gear noise but when i let off it stops , maybe a heaver gear lube, i know for my 32 ford 3 speeds we use

Re: speedo drive
When I rebuilt my t/case the speedo drive unscrewed fairly easily. It just had 50+ years of dirt and grease. try working it back and forth with some PB Blaster or something like it. You should be able to spin the gear on the adapter and the speedo should bounce a little bit. In the case the speedo drive gear is held in place with a ball bearing onto the output shaft.
Good luck,
Ed
