Where to start with what is wrong...

Seat covers should be Leatherette
Voltage regulator should not be electronic
Engine color wrong
Valve cover should be in the "white" (raw aluminum).
Reflectors are SAE
Body paint glossy
Windshield not split
Wrong choke knob
Fording cable routed wrong
Fording plug cover missing
Intake piping... well, speaks for itself
Speedometer incorrect, should be -1
Late headlight control switch
Battery cables should all be black with proper terminal connections and routed wrong
Wrong plug wires or incorrect placement
Jack missing
Jack hold down strap missing
Missing Ansul fire extinguisher and mounting bracket.
Not a 1963, it's a 1962.

I'm sure if I studied it closer I'd find more. Saddest part of this is, these are all very simple things to verify and fix before putting it up for auction with an expected price of $20,000.00 to $30,000.00. This is an $8,500.00 to $10,000.00 max Mite.

Good observarions Bill, and agreed, a little more detailing would go a long way. A few more items that need attention:
- Wrong colored reflectors, should all be red.
- Incorrect transfercase boot. Seems to me there is a guy on the forum selling the real thing along with a really nice air cleaner hose
- Incorrect windshield frame, hood bumpers are centered over the wiper motors, they should be offset.
- No battery hold down.
- No covers on the tailgate chains.

I believe the windshield frame is an M38A1. Not seeing too much of the inside upper portion but it may be an M170 ambulance frame. I contacted them but I didn't get back with me other than a auto reply email.

I looked at this too and thought there was a lot not authentic. The air intake is an i sore. It is still nice looking. I wonder if they will get what they want for it.

I know this is water under the bridge and hope the buyer is very happy with his purchase. I'm pretty new to owning my M422 but noticed a couple of things wrong with this one from doing my research. The paint color for the USMC markings seems to be incorrect. Are the unit markings in the correct location? Is the tire pressure supposed to be 20psi front and 25psi rear?. No rubber insulator flaps over the battery terminals. Know the tie wraps are handy to use but really detract from the overall wiring view, You are also right the body paint is pretty glaring as well!!! the air duct from cleaner to carb looks atrocious.
Just saying.
