Will other gas tank vents like m151 fit mm tanks? Trying to save a few bucks

Not sure what vent. Are you referring to the vent hose off the filler neck, cap or the spaghetti line to the air cleaner vent manifold?

The vent that fastens to the top of the gas tank with five screws.

Ah, okay. If the bolt pattern is the same I'd say yes. Where are you located?

As I was browsing on Ebay I saw a m151 vent for 35.00.

Evansville, IN, I did see that one for $35 on eBay and the exact same one for $65.

M151 has 2,0 inch vent valve and M422 has 2. 1/2 valve.
