M422A1 3407 - No DoD stamped - was incomplete parts car.
Any help with delivery dates for this SN range would be appreciated. The California DMV morphed the previous '63 title into a new '07 model year when the title transferred.

Re: MIGHTY MITE SERIAL NUMBERS
I have been so busy working on my M422 that I forgot about numbers. All the data plates are missing but I did find the body number which is 229. Where would I find the frame and engine number?

Re: MIGHTY MITE SERIAL NUMBERS
It seems I am a little late in catching on with this technology thing - being brought up in the BC (before computer) age......
I am not sure of the year of my MM, there is no DOD on the data plate. I believe the hood number is original. I have owned this MM for a number of years.
Serial number: 1985
Hood number: 307753
Engine serial number: 2335
Body number: 1866
The hood number and rear bumper number are the same.
Finally have the time to start working on this project....

Re: MIGHTY MITE SERIAL NUMBERS
If it is an M422A1 it is probably a 1961. Your serial number is kind of early in the A1 range. Only very early A1s had a dod on the data plate.

Re: MIGHTY MITE SERIAL NUMBERS
Hi Ron,
I just bought MM S/N 1774, body # 1679, hood # 307374. It was in Birmingham, AL and had been restored about ten years ago by Off Road Floater Equipment Co. in Hallsville, OH. It has been driven 60 miles since it was restored, sat in a garage 'till I bought it.
The data plates are repros so I don't know if the serial # is correct.
What year was this one produced? Where is the frame # located?
I just joined G503, so I am not up to speed on all the profile stuff yet, but I'll get there.
Thanks for putting together the registry, and for your answers to my questions.
Kevin

Re: MIGHTY MITE SERIAL NUMBERS
Frame Nber is located on top side of frame just behind shock mount. Body number is on drivers side just to the right outboard side of the dimmer switch. Near where the left inner attaches to body.
No serial number and body number ever matched.
We have found DOD on some M422a1's up to near number 1500 but nothing beyond yet.
Thx.
