Leaf spring shackle bushings:

Suspension Restoration Company (http://www.suspension.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) part #2121. Cost is $1.50 each. 16 bushings are required. They are made of polyurethane with a durometer of approx. 94 on the A scale. I just installed a set on my Mite. Very easy to install, less than an hour for all, front and back.

Does anyone have a good number for the axle shaft universal joints? I talked to Ron Alred the other night and he thought they were some odd tractor PTO U-Joint :?

We really need to keep this going and updated.

Rear Halfshafts - to replace some missing shafts in my parts rig , a spicer long yoke shaft (no pic) and yoke sleeve worked for me. It has longer spline travel, no jacking need to remove. This is a 1.375" splines. shock clearance is tight.

yoke sleeve 2-3-8021KX
yoke shaft 2-82-201X

New Clutch Plate and Disk

Post by BigBlock » Mon May 20, 2013 7:59 am

Clutch Kit: Plate, Disk, Bearing, Tool

The pilot bushing and throw-out bearing sleeve from this kit are not compatible, but the pressure plate, clutch disk, and allignment tool are perfect.
The throwout bearing and sleeve can be separated if you want to use the new bearing with your original sleeve.

Part number: k5317-02 (Also fits lots of early Jeeps - 1945 - 1972)
Cost varies from $90 - $120

Clearly I need to get the clutch kit to have on hand - since it will fit the Mite or my '46 CJ-2A --and sooner or later one of them will need it.

Does any one know of a mighty mite dealer or mechanic out of Ohio a few years ago? I know the man also had a small museum and restored mighty mites.

Brian: I'm Ben. Do you know of a business owner out in Ohio that restores Mighty Mites, and has a small military vehicle museum on the grounds?

I spoke with him a few years ago and I obtained a few years ago when I visited this site.
