Apologies. It should be fixed now. There was a space (" ") where it shouldn't oughta be. :( How unfortunate.

It looks like you have fixed the problem with login page.
I’ve been able to login the sn.g503.com with my email addresses and I can indeed edit my jeep data.
That’s fine, thanks.

You are welcome. Your question might help in the sn.g503.com database front end development.

So you have the DOD and you're looking for SN's that were made around that time. Is that correct?
( yes, the DOD search tool is a high priority :) )

Hi everyone don't really know where to post this question. I bought a 1947 8N tractor that does not have the original engine it would have started out with 8N. My block has a GP<->8788. So looking on the internet kinda lead me here believe it might be out of a surplus jeep. Any Help would be appreciated

Hello,
Welcome in the G503 forum.
You certainly landed in the appropriate forum.
Thanks for posting that interesting information about your GP engine. This is certainly a valuable and likely desired engine :D
You should better copy-paste your post in a thread related to the Ford GP.
For example : viewtopic.php?t=38929
You could post your engine photos and you will likely get more information.
For example people will be interested to see photos of the carburetor, air filter and so on...

If you search the database for Ford GP, look for serial numbers in the range of 8500 to 8900 by using the search button.
For example: https://sn.g503.com/search/8500/8900/0

Enjoy your visit on G503.

Made some updates to the Add and Edit pages to include the rest of the important data.
I'm starting now on the "My jeeps" and "DOD Search" tools before establishing
a modal window framework to add info and resource links to the add/edit functions.

Thank you Ken.
Not sure if you have disabled the user jeep data edit function .
I can no longer get access to that edit function with my user email.

Are you logged in? If you are, does the edit button not show up on your jeep page?
What happens when you try to edit your jeep info?

Hi Ken,
Please discard my previous remark. I thought that the edit button would appear in the page header.
Yes when I display my own jeep, the button « Edit this serial number record » magically appears on the right side.
Sorry for the confusion.

This is a subject that needs to be addressed. The available functions should be more
prominently available. The "My Jeeps" page should be sufficient in this particular case.

Hi Ken,
A cosmetic remark.
It seems that when a user don't fill up a record field, the field is missing in the record instead of an empty field being created with a space or CR/LF or whatever.
This creates a misalignment when you try to copy-paste two records side by side in Excel, for example to calculate approximate hood numbers or jeep serial numbers.
It seems to be the case with the free details/description field but it could happen with other data fields missing when empty.
Or the fields are existing but not displayed when empty, which creates that misalignment

Yves

Example
Two CR/LF in the first jeep record are missing when the Details or free Description field is left empty by the user.
