2nd Armored Division Jeeps (stencils-markings) / Help please

Hello,

planning to put the marking stencils on my Willys Jeep.

I have thought 2/\-82R..............star.............C-36.

My question is about the serial nr. of the bonnet. Were there exact range of serial numbers for the 2nd AD jeeps or whatever nr is ok ?

I have been looking for 2nd AD jeeps pictures but I haven't found any clear serial nr for the bonnet.

Any suggestion, example or advice would be appreciated

Your markings would be correct for the 2nd Armored Division. The hood (bonnet) number is determined at the factory not by the unit. It will always start with 20 for reconnaissance vehicle. The delivery date can help narrow down to a range of numbers.
